Just picked it up yesterday.. it's my first car (i'm 25). I've been takin public transit for so long now (something like 13 years) and finally I made the commitment and got myself a ride. No more subway/bus to work! yay!
thankx guys.. i was also thinking towards a civic, just happend that this protege was a good deal. anyway i'm lovin it. I've picked up standard pretty fast, was already whippin around last night pretty good :)
yeah leafs.. there is a bit of paint scratched off the bumper, but other than that, no scratches no dings at all! the guy before me only brought it to touchless car washes so there aren't any swirl marks on it from those car wash brushes. I'm actually leasing the car right now, but i have a decent buyout price and the lease price is good (did a lease takeover)..
My only gripe is that it revs pretty high in 5th gear on the highway, but I guess that's pretty much the same with any 4 banger, unless it's a 6 speed.
I hear ya man... silver was my first choice but considering I did a lease takeover the one taht was listed with my monthly price range was yellow.. so i jumped at it.
regarding public transit.. i'm 25 now and up until this point I was taking the bus and subway every day. I started taking the subway when I was 12 or 13, so this marks the end of a 13 year saga for me taking public transit! This does mean cutting back on buying other tech gadgets but that's ok for me .. for now....
Well i see you live in TO...... im very impressed with the system you have there. you have the bus, the subway and the Go train......here is ottawa we have just the bus. well we have a small "train" like thing, but its route is sooooooo limited.
i dont mind the bus allll that much, but when u get the 300 pound person sitting on you.....you tend to get a little ticked....lol
