Aximsitemobileicon Windows 7

I decided to finally install the Windows 7 RTM today (TechNet)...

So far, so good. there are a few small things (it had a nervous breakdown when it booted with my flash drive still attached, note that it was NOT trying to boot off the flash drive, it just didn't like that it was plugged in), and the graphic effects slightly stutter every once in a while, but other than that it works great.

So far I have only come across 2 apps that don't work, Teracopy, and Vsphere Client. Everything else works a treat. Sadly, Vsphere Client is one of my 'critical' applications, up there with Firefox and Notepad++. Hopefully I can get it working soon....

I have a XP Mode Virtual PC for programs that are incompatible (E.g. ArcGIS). Since you have a Core i7, it supports virtualization.

I'm still waiting for the RTM public release on October 22, since I don't have a TechNet or MSDN subscription.

I thought of that too, but it just doesn't seem like a clean solution... I think I am just going to have to wait until Vmware releases Vsphere client for W7.

I managed to get it to at least run, by faking that I have a dev setup, but it is not pretty at all...

At least I can still work until I get the update, though. Being able to connect to my ESXi servers is one of the most vital things I need to be able to do, otherwise I lose access to my dev envos, my webserver, my NAS, my sandboxs, etc...

Aximbigfan,

Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here socialdottechnetdotmicrosoftdotcom/Forums/en-US/category/w7itpro/ (Replace the "dot" with a period ".") . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to check the threads available there for addiitional assistance and feedback.

URL Re-post-->Windows 7 Category.

Thank you Jessica. Never thought I would see someone from the Win Client Team on this forum.
