Dell Expandable Keyboard for Axim

I received Dell's expandable keyboard for the X-5 today. According to the small manual, a keyboard driver should have also
come with the package. No such luck! Can anyone point me in a good direction so I can get the keyboard driver and make use of the keyboard??? Keyboard model# 99 G4891.001 G7LO-001 part number OX379. I ordered the thumb keyboard but Dell sent the expandable board. HELP!!!!

It seems too obvious, but did you try Dell's download site for the Axim foldable keyboard?

One annoying thing about the foldable keyboard driver is that when you do install it, it has to be to the main memory, instead of to the protected space, or to a card. Be aware of that--the documentation that comes with the keyboard doesn't make mention of that little detail.

It also has to be re-enabled from the driver program every time you do a soft-reset of the device.

In fact, I only learned about these issues here. Thanks, Aximsite!

And if any Dell Axim Techies are reading this...and want to fix those little....um...features so we -can- install that driver to wherever and that we'd like it to STAY enabled...that'd be equally appreciated.

Glenn

PS: Actually, you CAN install it to wherever, but you have to use some sort of explorer program to go to that driver program (wherever you put it), and run it with that a couple of times until it gets the idea you want to run it. Shortcuts directly TO the program don't seem to work.

hrm, the driver is small so IMO installing it to main memory is no prob, and generally all drivers need to be installed there. I have no clue why yours needs to be re-enabled every time you do a soft reset, but I do plenty of soft resets and have only had to mess with the driver in one situation, hard resets.
