i'm back

Just came back from the weekend trip to Quebec City. Very nice place, clean, but the drive there was a bitch (8 hours)

Anyways, the downtown is very nice there, all these old buildings, leaves on trees are all different colours, and everythin'

But, it seems that many people do not speak a lick of English there, even though the rest of this country does. The guy in McDonalds there didnt know what "medium" is and I, to my shame, forgot what it is in french (it is moyenne btw:p )

The Human Resources Center is in a huge castle-like building, while the one near my house in toronto is a little shabby rectangular house. Everything there is either a castle or a really old building of some sort.

All in all it was a nice way to spend the long weekend, except for the driving part.

Glad you had a fun, safe trip. I absolutely love old architecture. If I knew French, then I might visit there some day. LOL :)

thanks, but, if you ever do visit, make sure its for more than 2 days, cause there's so many things to see there.

these are not my pictures, just something i found on google
http://web.comlab.ox.ac.uk/oucl/work...ng52/falls.jpg Montmorency Falls
http://www.classicalmodernlanglit.vi...QuebecCity.jpg The view in downtown Quebec, the tallest building is Le Chateau, its apparently an expensive hotel
http://www.ssjb.com/37-38/800X600/img0017.jpg Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré, one of the many, and probably the nicest looking church

Also, you NEED to have someone who is good with maps if you want to drive around the city, the streets are built with no pattern at all (compared to Toronto which has 2 km between each intersection of major streets) and they are mostly one lane streets there, we missed many a turn while trying to get from downtown to our hotel.

Well judging by the restaurant prices in Le Chateau it is VERY expensive.
There's also a hotel at the Chute-de-Montmorency, its right near the waterfall, and lets just say that a one egg omlette cost 10$ at that place. :D

There are many places in Quebec that are awsome......Gatineau (near Ottawa) is very very nice this time of year. And shorter than an 8 hour drive.....lol
