Worried Stop Ignoring My Posts - Heeeeeeeeelllllllllllp!!!

Ok, I was browsing the web. When I pressed home, it went to a diffrent homepage than i set it to. I put the homepage url back to the one I want. When I restart my computer and go home, It goes to the url that it was before I set it back. I set it back loads of times, but it still keeps going to www.searchv.com. How can I stop this? HELLP!

You probably downloaded some spyware type thing that does that. Go download and anti-spyware program and run it. Also, look for erronious processes in your task manager, and track them with process viewer.

There is a wealth of info on this by using "searchV.com" in google.

Anyway, one is http://www.spywareinfo.com/articles/cws/

AdAware from Lavasoft works rather well at grabbing the spyware also.....

Spyware Remover

Ad-Aware is an excellent Spyware remover.

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

Be aware it is possible for it to corrupt programs that rely on advertising like Kazaa. A reinstall will normally solve these problems.

Adaware is excellent. It is what I use and highly recommend it.

However, the possible Trojan nature of the particular problem might indicate looking at the link I posted before.

But, maybe not as I have not removed this one myself. However, since apparently virus scanners are recognizing this one...

Also, a good online virus scanner is http://www.antivirus.com. It is free and very good.
