What is your favorite e-mail provider? Paid or Free doesn't matter. Is it one of the http's out there? or you must have POP support, or is it the one in your own domain?
I must say, although I have about 10 domains of mine, I do not use any of them as my primary e-mail account. My primary has been hotmail from the day it came out. I am enjoying hotmail on my Outlook Express with POP support for free, so having access to about 5 hotmail accounts on my OE is unbeatable. Therefore I will have to say it is hotmail. I can't say I am a fan of GMAIL, it works great with its own interface, but the sec. problems with Norton, e-mail sending problems and non-standart ports, etc which makes it unusable for a quick e-mail check on phones also clumbersome.
I also tried a few free e-mail providers with POP support, they all have so much delay, I can send a snail mail rather than e-mail and it could get there faster...

I have a hotmail account, a gmail account and a fastmail account (fastmail.fm)
fastmail is very fast, it is not html so so you dont get lots of pretty, bloated, screens and it is pushmail, so it comes straight to my MDA. My favorite is my hotmail account
I get only my company pop on my SDA, it works fine on my T-Zones slow connection. Hey, it's $6 a month, what else can I ask for?

THat said though, I'd have to go wtih mail2web because of the fact that it's basically hosted Exchange. Gotta have my DirectPush capabilities.

I had never trusted mail2web, until I had to use it.. :) Since I had no other choice, but to trust them ..
I have 1&1 hosting, but their e-mail pop set up is totally weird, so I don't host my own e-mail anymore..

Admittedly, I don't really trust any email host that I don't have full control over the box... Hence the reason mine is in my basement. :)
I've heard a lot of good things about mail2web.. Haven't seen any reason yet not to trust them.
There is a guy over on XDA Devs who's doing email hosting too.. There's a thread about it (think the username is austinkelly).. Might be something to look into.
But, again, I don't trust anyone..

I use 1&1, can you define weird?
beyond using the account number instead of a common name, what is the big deal. and their spam filter kicks butt (sometimes too well)

When you have 5 accounts you want to setup & check your e-mails at a place temporarily, it is impossible to remember the numbers, since they all have to be different. I am not a big fan of that setup.
