Ok here is the $1000-$2000 question of the day. If you had $1000 to 2000 to spend on a laptop or convertible what would you get? My desktop is running XP media center and I want to be able to watch media center programing on it.
What be ye thoughts?

If money is no object (that is, if you do not object to spending money), then go for the convertible.

Especially if you can get almost-the-specs of a laptop, why settle with a non-touch screen while you can get the same machine with flip up tablet.
