Has anyone used Office 2007? Is it any good? What are some of the cool new features?

I have been using Office 2007 for a while now. It's pretty much the same as previous versions, except it's a lot beefier (read: bulky!). Because of all the additional features that have been added over the years, and overhaul of the interface was apparently warranted, so they re-did the who thing. Now I spend my time trying to find all of the options I used to use...

lol.. I'm in the same boat Elrendhel..

Although, I admit, Outlook 2007 has me hooked, and it's the one reason I won't switch back. Plus, I like that they included OneNote with the Enterprise edition.. Another one of my favorite apps..

Sheesh, I was invited to the Vista/Office launch event here in Winnipeg back in December. I went. I used a vacation day to ge spend 8 hours listening to MS's spiel. Ok, the whole Vista/Server 2007/Office package is amazingly cool with some amazing integration, but it wasn't an 'exciting' day.

Besides a crappy pen, a T-shirt, and some marketing materials I got squat! In the US Microsoft is throwing free copies of Vista and Office around like they're candy. Anywhere else and you get didly... It irks me...

I personally think the new Office is amazing. Its hard to describe the amount of time and effort has gone in to increasing its aesthetic and productivity value. You should get it, like seriously.

The new OFFICE ROCKS! Especially Excel - make nice colored tables, charts, and all of that without the need for a graphics department. :) The ribbon bar makes it easier to write my research papers and I really like the new citation options..just choose your writing standard.
