I am looking for a small feed reader or ticker for Firefox or something that integrates into taskbar. There a lot of feed readers out there, some are very detailed, but what I am looking for is a simple feed Notifier.

All I want it to do is check feeds ever x minutes and if there is a new feed change color/blink/scroll/etc... anything that can get attention so that I know there is a new post.

Anything like that you know of? I don't need extensive feed reader/manager..

I don't use a feed reader based inside an app like FireFox, but instead have one that runs on my desktop.

Perhaps take a look at Desktop Sidebar:

Desktop Sidebar Home Page

It has a simple reader, and much more.

I found that InfoRSS seems to work fine, I just use a tool to minimize firefox to taskbar, next to clock and it still notifies if there is a new feed, and seem to work fine at the status bar of FF.
I will consider that as well.
