Improve the Stylus, Please

The problem I have with the Axim 400 Stylus as Dell shipped, and the replacement pack, too, is that I cannot tell which side is which. Thus I am always inserting the stylus the wrong way, which I don't find out until it is almost all the way in. I just today realized that Dell could fix this very simply by roughening one side of the stylus, where it narrows, to serve as a cue for which side is which.

I'd really appreciate it. Otherwise I love my Axim.

Worried

Nothing like catching one's own error a half hour after posting! I discovered that indeed Dell does stamp (engraved, rather than raised) *D*E*L*L* into one side of the stylus, which gives a reference to insert the stylus correctly.

I grasp the styus below the reference point (the engraved DELL), or, sometimes, the stylus rests on an insensitive portion of my fingers, so that I cannot feel the engraving.

Various solutions to the incorrect insertion aggravation:

* I could add masking tape to one side of stylus
* I could train myself to check for the DELL logo visually and turn the stylus if necessary
* Dell could reverse the engraved DELL so that it is embossed, instead
* Dell could change the stylus insertion to a circular flange which would work regardless of which side is inserted

Also, I could dump Dell styli and acquire other versions of the Axim X5 styli, until I find one that suits.
