No, they don't have to honor it because they give you a disclaimer stating that if they made an error, it can be changed. At least that is what happened when this situation came up in Canada with the X5's. I am going to give it a 99% guarantee that it isn't honored.

actually it IS still illegal, that notice there is not for real enforcement... it is to stop 90% of people who will go "Oh well they dont have to"... and they know nobody will go to court for something like this...

I don't know about US law but in the UK advertised prices are only an invitation to make a sale contract so if you order at an advertised price and vendor confirms the order then the contract is made. So their disclaimer will only work if they don't confirm the order.
PS I thought I got a good deal with an X3i for the same price as X3 (Dell's error on their UK website). Looks like Dell make a habit of this... I will have to make a point on visiting Dell every day :)
The dissclamer was posted after the fact. This dissclamer is not presented at the time of ordering with an accept or decline function which would make it a legal binding cotract. This can be a case of bait and switch and false advertising. Thouse who ordered are entitled to there axims at the miastake price because they could face legal action (why do you think stores honor the price of misstaged merchandise? THEY DONT WANT TROUBLE)
All we need are all that orderd to get Johny Cockren and file a class action lawsuit :crooked:
And by the time the lawsuit is all done, you could have bought 3 X3i's for the price of the lawyer for everyone involved. That is exactly why Dell isn't going to honor it. Even if it is against the law (which it probably is), it will cost them less money to not honor it, and go to court with the few people who will actually take it that far.
Even so, I wish I could have ordered and got in on this. What they did in Canada (I am in the US by the way) was give everyone that ordered a nice discount. Even that would have been worth it.

i ordered one on the off chance that dell will honor the order. however, why is it that when a corporation makes a mistake everyone thinks they are entitled to something for practically nothing, but if the mistake is our fault - we feel like we should get off the hook so to speak.
i for one will not jump on a class action lawsuit bandwagon. not even if i had ordered 100 of these neat little toys . . .
