Just checked the rebate site. Says my request was denied because "We did not receive a packing slip with your request." Even though I included an email from Dell for a replacement packing slip that said "Dell will accept a copy of your invoice as proof of purchase for your rebate." Needless to say I'm PO'd and am looking for the postcard that tells me how to correct this "problem". ARGH

I just realized that the poll results will be flawed because you can't re-choose your answer. So if someone voted they still didn't get their check yet, but then they do receive it, they can't change their answer to received the rebate. Oh well ...

Got it back in a quick 2 weeks!

It was tough getting someone on the line but once I did I got awesome support.

I ordred on the Saturday before the 1st rebate was done. I went on their web page to see where I stood and low and behold there was no order. After 1/2 hour in calls I finally found someone who would not transfer me into an automated Q with no way back.

It seems that there was a glitch with the server and it was discounting a $40 promo from the Axim when the Axim should have been excempt. Now the rebate was also over so with only slight wimpering I got the 400 Axim for $259
That was $349 - the $50 rebate and the $40 promo. I was very happy :p :D :D :D

I just checked the website, it says that both rebates have been received and are being processed.

Should be here real soon now, any day.;)

So far it has been 1 moth since i mailed it in.

Here's my post to a different thread:
Mark me down as another "rebate-less". Sent in forms 1/7, no info on rebate status at dell, no reply to two e-mails to rebate.com, and it is today March 2.

Maybe there should be a forum set up to track all the rebate time lines. I'm sure others would find it interesing, especially since dell is again offering the rebate program.

The rebate web site acknowledges receipt of my rebate form and is now "processing my rebate".

I never did receive an email reply to my inquiries, though.

Will post when and if I do get the rebate check.

Sent in rebate form January 5, 2003, check cut February 7 and received the check February 12. Not too bad I'd say.

Well I never received the promised post card explaining how to resolve my denied rebate. Nor for that matter did I ever hear anything from the rebate status site (though a response was promised w/in 3 days). It's a good thing I decided to contact Dell at the same time. I initially emailed the guy that sent me the e-receipt and let him know the problem. I received an email back from Dell promising a status report w/in 24 hours. I was busy and forgot about it for a week, then realized there was again no word.

I emailed Dell again yesterday and received several email (including cc's of internal discussions about why the rebate vendor hadn't straightened out this problem) and promising quick resolution. Within a few hours I received an email notifying me my AMEX card had been credited $53.63. I guess they felt guilty and added interest to the rebate. I still need to verify the credit on the next statement.

It just confirms that sometimes you've gotta be a squeeky wheel. - mm

I received an email today saying that my rebate was mailed yesterday, 3/10/03! Less than 8 weeks for me. I wonder why some of them get kicked back and others don't. Personally, I think I would rather have a credit on my Dell preferred account than the cash, but I understand the frustration that it took for those of you who got credits and don't think I would have wanted to go through that either!

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones---sent in the rebate towards the end of december (got my ax 12/26) and received the rebate check the last week in feb. no hassles--whew, so it took approx 8 weeks which is "normal" for rebate refunds. hang in there!

1/19 order. rebatestatus.com says it was mailed 3/13, "expect" deliver in <B><I>10 days</B></I>.....what kinda mail service do they use????

Took mine a total of six weeks. Once it showed up on the website it took exactly 10 business days for me to receive it.
