i think you can get carried away with cooling, some of the more modded cases have like 4 to 8 case fans, thats just nuts, makes your pc sound like a chainsaw (even though mine sounds like a jet)

i have the 2 extra case fans since when i was burning a dvd, my system would start to get slow and very very hot

Really looks good. Great job. Now I'm wishing I would have build mine with a plexiglass case.

I built a plexiglass case also.:D
That looks good, but cooling would be an issue. I have 11 fans in mine (2 hd fans, spire cpu fan, 5 case fans, geforce ti4600 fan, 2 psu fans), and it still runs hotter than I would like it to. Then again, my parts are one of the hottest they make. I have my zalman headphones on all the time, so noise isnt a big issue.:D

Now that you have your case built, you need to mod it like mine. To bad I don't have a digi cam. 5 of my fans have quad blue leds, and I have 2 12in ccl's. Let me be the first to say, I don't need and lamps in my room. And, I modded the fans so that the lights turn off when needed.

1gb pc3400
epox ep8-rda+
300gb (1: 160gb, 1: 80gb, 1: 40gb, 1: 20gb)
dvd burner
52x cdrw
thermaltake purepower 480wt psu
geforce4 ti4600 (VERRRRY Fast)
spire skivestreme2 cpu cooler.

With the psu out like that, it would have exelent airflow, but i would be more woried about accedently hitting it with another piece or metal (been there, done that).

More like the next door neibors.:p (and thats worse than a helicopter);) My new 480wt psu is barely chuggin along, but its makin it. I think I am using 450watts of it, so there is room for nice new treos drive selector (*adds to birthday list*).

Sounds cool. I would get dry ice cooling, but is wayyyyyy to expencive.

BTW: I just recieved a spire silent case fan that blows more air that 3 of my case fans put together, and is silent.

Might wanna make that 12 fans now. It is really not that bad, if all my case fans were those spire ones, i could overclock like crazy, and have a pc that doesent sound like a train.

If I were you, I would check them out, they are VERY quiet.
I reviewed them on my website.

You can find a way to make it fit. Just need a dremel, some screws, and a little time. :p

I have the Antec sonata, and the only thing I can hear whaen that thing is running (even though it has 2 120mm fans) is the high pitched whine of my WDR360 (Western Digital raptor 10,000 RPM drive)
