Sandisk CF Cards on X5!?!?
Ok, So I recently got an X5 for Christmas along with a Sandisk 256mb CF card. I figured that would be enough to start out to put some Mp3's on it and maybe some roms. All was grand, all was great, and when all my data disappeared I was irate! Turns out the Sandisk card corrupted all the data on it. So bye bye all my ebooks, bye bye save games for Final Fantasy, no more listening to Mp3's at work while I wait for a replacement card from Sandisk. It only took them 2 weeks to send me an email with a fedex label so I could ship the card back! Anyways, here is the big question. Why would Dell sell these Sandisk cards along with the Axims when supposedly according to the Sandisk representatives, "It is a common problem that the Axims do not work well with the Sandisk cards and are known to corrupt data, but we have a replacement that will work in your Axim." Huh, seems fishy to me. Sounds like bad marketing to me. I wonder how many poor fools think it was their fault the data got corrupted and went out and blew their money to get another card only to have it happen again before they finally call Sandisk? That would suck. I just hope I get the stupid replacement soon, it's been 3 weeks since I sent out the faulty one. Argh......
