Technically, even if the unit was still under warranty, dell doesnt have to do anything. The unit was USED, and you bought it on ebay. Warranties on electronics are usually only valid for the Orginal owner.

I agree I feel bad for the Dell Suppot Tech he kept on the phone. I work for NJ Transit in the IT department and we run Dell computers throughout the entire company, and I am happy that we do, since I deal with their tech support on a daily basis. Even though their support is not what it used to be, its still better then most companies..
