Well I just ordered an X3i today, and a Piel Frama case...I've had an X5 for a year, but last week I dropped it into the toilet (no joke...fortunately I had just flushed). After it dried out for a few hours, it actually came back on (and still runs, sort of - it erases my 256 MB SD card periodically, which is where I have to store most of my programs). I'm assuming the SD card itself is OK, I hear they're pretty tough. I'll have to be more careful with the new one, for some reason Dell doesn't offer accidental damage protection in FL.
That has always been one of my biggest concerns. I could just see myself doing the same thing. Sorry about your luck, hope you like the x3i, I can't live without mine. By the way welcome to the AximSite!

I know that the Axim pocket pc helps transform us into a "paperless" society, but taking it into the restroom, now that is taking it just one step too far.

I guess I can laugh about it now, too...but no, although I did recently get an SMC CompactFlash 802.11b, that morning I think I had just finished reading a chapter from my Laridian PocketBible...the CompactFlash card wasn't installed at the time, or it would've probably been toast too (course, I won't need it with the X3i :crooked: ).

i dropped my motorola startach phone in the toilet a couple years ago (hopped right off my belt) after much drying it still worked but i bought a new one the next day
did the same thing at my previous employer with the pager. i knew if i told them what realy happened they would never let me hear the end of it. i just told them i lost it.
I saw a dirty bowl one time with a phone in it. Apparently someone dropped it in their pile and left it. It was pretty dang funny and disgusting at the same time.
I wonder if they went to go get some tongs or something to fish it out. I'm sure it was toast. I thought about adding to the mess, but couldn't stop laughing and I couldn't even go. I had to walk out of the restroom. I hate it when you are doing business and in the stall next to you someone answers the phone. That really grosses me out. I don't know why, cuz I'm usually playing a game on the Ax. :D
