http://planetgamecube.com/hardware.c...profile&id=220

take a look at that

driven by its two CPUs (an ARM7 and ARM9)

It has a built in wifi, and blue tooth. blue tooth for local playing, the wifi you can play against players all over the internet.

It has two screens one is a touch screen.

Best of all it plays the same quality as N64 Games

This is a pimped out axim...

Yeah, the nintendo DS looks like crap compared to the PSP. Have you seen the video of Gran turismo 4 and Metal Gear Acid? It looks just as good as the ps2.

The PSP looks nice and all, but you're forgetting one big thing: price.

The DS, by the latest reports I've heard, will run around $150. The PSP... anywhere from $250 to $450.

Maybe I'm just a cheapskate, but I'm far more interested in the DS than the PSP.

I thought i saw an ad for preordering the DS at $200... Anyway, they should have a cartridge for it that allows boot up in some form of windows CE. I mean they hold a Gigabit of data, way more than any pocket pc, and they have a touch screen...the most amazing pda ever especially for the price. Bluetooth, wireless microphone etc. plus a bunch of extra space on the card, for only 150-200!

if they can build all that in, and sell it for only $150, it kinda makes you wonder what exactly you are paying for when you buy a regular ppc. They must make a killing.

What i have heard is that many game system makers sell their consoles at a loss but make up for it majorly in the games (or try to *cough* x-box *cough*). So, we might not be getting ripped off at all. Also, think about it, they dont have to have almost any internal memory, while our PPC's do, basically ppcs have everything that this DS does, and more (other than a second screen...). Basically, i dont think we are getting ripped off so much, it must cost dell and people a lot to integrate the OS and such. Nintendo doesnt need an OS or anything like that, while Dell and people probably have to buy the os for thousands of dollars and THEN edit it for their ppcs. I am probably missing a few things but we are probably not getting ripped off too bad considering dell sells things at the bottom of the market (but if you buy an ipaq you MIGHT be over paying).

ya, but even the cartridges, which will prolly be around $50 hold 1gb! Where's my 1gb sd card for $50??? Anyway, it will only be a matter of tyme before someone hacks this thing wide open, and there is a wm03/linux install for it.

Its one gigabit, not one gigabyte. AFAIK a gigabit is 1/8 of a giga byte. The way i understand it is that a bit is one 0 or 1 and a bye is 8. So, you could easily buy a 128 mb card for 50 dollars, and easily much less. So since they have to produce the game as well, it is actually not as different as you think. I THINK all that i said here is true, would someone please correct me if it is not?

EDIT: also, they have to create an entirly new kind of card, they are not using existing CF or SD cards, so we dont know what size these things are (i dont remember that from the video) and so they could easily be worth 20 or so dollars for them to produce. Just remember though, hitachi pays about 50 dollars for the 4gb microdrives. Find out for yourself how much they cost.
