My new Axim saves the day!
True story! I received my Axim about a week ago. When I opened the box my husband did the eye rolling thing (mom got a new toy) and my daughter said, that's cool mom, then my son who is 16 thought it was the absolute coolest thing he's ever seen especially since I took him to his email box while I was outside with it (via my wireless network)!
Well, yesterday was my daughter's last day school. Her and a group of friends were at a Applebees having lunch when she called me at work to tell me that they are celebrating their last day of high school so they are all going to go into the city (Chicago) for the rest of the day. I said, "oh, you must need the train schedule." When she told me that they would have to go home first to check the internet for it I said, "Oh wait! I just happened to download the schedule for the South Shore to my new Axim!!!!" They were all cracking up. But they made it to the train on time!
Just thought I'd share how my new Axim came in handy for a bunch of 18 year olds.
Sheri
PS....I figured I better buy my Axim while I had the chance. Notice that I mentioned "the last day of high school." Yes, I will be one of those broke parents soon because I'll be paying for college! LOL

Great story thanks. About which AXIM are we talking about?
Peace,
Henk.

The Axim X3i. I love it! It is so super light and powerful. They did forget to give me my free Atari game card so I wrote them and they are sending it right out. I thought it would be fun for my son to try but I have to admit that while I'm waiting for things, I've actually pulled out the Axim and played the two games on there. So, I'll admit to playing the games myself!
Now I'm hoping more places around here will start sharing their wireless internet with their customers. It's pretty popular in the city but not in the town that I live in yet. I'm thinking it won't take long though.

Great story. One of the classic uses for a Axim.
I've had my X3i since November, and I love it; hasn't given me a single problem. Enjoy your new Axim, and Aximsite.

Thanks! Everyone here has been so helpful and friendly. Good thing because I probably have lots more questions to ask in the future.
Hopefully someday soon I can even be of some help to someone.

Great story, I've had my x3i for a little over a month. Love it, couldn't go on with out it now. Who would have thought that one beautiful piece of equipment could make life so much easier. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine. :)

Well mine hasn't saved the universe or anything yet ;)
But about Dell "accidently" forgetting the game card... they didn't send mine either and when I contacted Dell about it, they first tried to convince me that I wasn't supposed to get one. I stuck to my guns and the guy finally made me an offer I couldn't refuse. He said he would send me a code for a $35 coupon toward any purchase from Dell. I said, "Well, I'd rather have the game card, but ok..." A few minutes later, he came back with "We don't have a $35 coupon, so I have sent you a $75 coupon. Is that ok?"
"Ummmmm.... well, if you insist!"
The coupon code he gave me enabled me to get a Kingston 256 SD card and the radio card, which are so much more useful to me. And just think how many freeware games I can cram into the memory card ! :D

Hehe I wish I have parents like you :)
It's nice that Dell does have pretty good customer response and everything - Except the system updates :) they are just so unclear about these things :(
