adaware does, sometimes they only have 1 and sometimes none at all, it just depends on the day

the updates update the reference file that is used to find new spyware, trojans, etc.

Right, actually, I use all 3. I'd use AdAware, then Spybot, then SpySweeper if the first 2 don't remove the malware.

I use Firefox but I need IE for Java based real time stock quotes. I just hate how some sites are so IE specific.

you can also get a java plugin for mozilla, just install the java plugin for windows and it works in mozilla also

(i cant remember the link but if you google for it i am sure you can find it)

I have Java for Firefox, but Market Center real time quotes only works on IE. You can login with Firefox, something else, or even NetCaptor (front end to IE), but it sits there. That is one example of a site only allowing operation with IE.

Thanks grentz. Duh!?! All I had to do was put in the correct URL to unblock popups - mc.esignal.com, not *.esignal.com. I tried eons ago, it didn't work, and I hadn't tried further. Yes, the site works in both Firefox and NetCaptor.
