Probably explained somewhere, but i cant find it. What is the rating that is by some long threads, which threads can get rated and who votes on the stars? Thanks for making me a little less confused.

You can rate any thread. Just scroll down to the bottom of the screen. On the lower right side there is a pulldown menu that says rate this thread. Choose your rating and go.

okay....I found it too! Also, why would I rate a thread? (sorry...I've missed this detail for the past 16 months) :)
