This is a major bummer...I was rolling back to get up and use the restroom after a few posts at AximSite...I roll my chair back and all of a sudden CRACK. I look down to see my Age of Empires disk cracked...broken...that was my favorite game EVER! (Besides warcraft) I know I can download a no cd crack..but...I am just so mad! How can I be so stupid as to roll over my favorite game!!!

This game was upgraded to Empire earth, it is a nice upgrade too, lots of added features.

Yeah, the old version for desktop was upgraded to a game called Empire Earth =)

Empire Earth...is that any fun? My friend has it. Havn't played it, but he's crazy for it.

After Age of Empires came Age of Empires II and then Age of Mythlogy. Empire Earth was made by Sierra, a different company. Empires, Dawn of the Modern World was after it. All were excellent rts games and some of the best I've played.

Empire Earth is Age of Empires on steroids. Sorry I was being sarcastic about 'upgraded' when in fact I should have said 'replaced.'

I owned both Age of Empires games and they were fun, but when Empire Earth came out my friend got a free copy of Age of Empires (I gave him mine). When he saw me playing Empire Earth he bought a copy and threw out the disks I gave him.

That was out opinion, however, I don't speak for everyone.. I'm sure some people swear by Age of Empires... but I feel Empire Earth (with its 15 levels of upgrading civilization) offers a lot more fun for your money.

Good point, I used to play AOE (2, the conquerors expansion) ALL DAY but now I just play WC3:TFT :)
