I totally agree, I appreciate your stance on this, we are really getting nowhere but making members enemies!

Maybe this is going too far, but I think politically oriented sigs/avatars (with the exception of simple campaign button type banners) should be banned. I'm getting sick of seeing so many "don't vote republican" "bush is a terrorist" or "kerry is a coward" type sigs. They really add nothing to this site but instigation of debates/hatred between members.

May I suggest creating subdivisions of the water fountain forum on aximsite with topics like "jokes and humor" "politics" "general" "rants and raves", etc. The politics forum could be moderated by one or two members who are able to restrain themselves from overly partison opinions and keep the debates regulated...
That's about the only way I can think to allow political stuff without it getting out of hand.

eh, i dunno, there are alot of sub catergories already, i would either make more mods, or just dis-allow political conversations here. This site really isn't about politics anyway, and it seems like 10 or less people are the only ones who care to debate it.

My grandfather always said: "Opinions are like (behinds), everyone's got one". Well here's one more--keep your opinions to yourself, unless someone pointedly asks. If you want to wave things, do it somewhere else and if you want to encourage people, just encourage them to vote, period (our petty little preferences aren't going to enroll anybody). Pretty soon we'll need spam blockers for this site. Stop....and let this remain a clear,useful,and informative place. We've got a rare thing here--let's not muck it up.
