Mad Finally got my Axim - no power cord

My axim finally showed up after 2 long weeks of waiting. Open everything up and no power cord
Phoned Dell and the rep tells me that yes some units were shipped without a power cord and that she would get one out right away. Problem is I live in remote northern Canada and it will take at least another 2 weeks ....... ggggrrrrrr

Simple, tell them you want a discount on your Axim or you'll be returning it becasue of all the headaches.

Does anyone from Dell actually ever look at this site? If they did you would think they would have some imput.... explaination to some of the concerns raised here.... after all it money to them!

Like I said on the Newbee threa ... a week latter and I have a $800.00 paperweight ....

Phone call tomorrow to Dell and will be more aggresive and definetly ask for a discount .... bad enough you get a $50.00 rebate if you are in the states .... what ever happened to free trade? Cant be the softwood lumber issue can it?

Here's the fact about the rebate system they have in place for the Canadians.

During the first rebate period both Canada and the U.S. were offered the rebates but Canada's rebate expired before the U.S. rebate, lucky for me that's just when I had the money to buy so I waited until the next rebate. The current rebate is, of course, only for the US because apparently we're not good enough for a second chance or something like that. Anyway I am making a checklist of thing I plan to b**** about angrily and see if I get any rebate, because I think as Canadians we deserve one.

So in short we got screwed, not quite as badly as the europeans but still unacceptably shafted.

I too received my Axim without a power cord and am waiting. I'm from Toronto.

Luckily I have another device that uses the same, so a least I'm able to use my Axim.

Mad

Recieved my Axim 10 days earlier then first estimated.....Like a little boy at Christmas opening presents I quickly opened the nicley packed box got my Axim first and WOW did it look good...opened the next box in anticipation of finding my sync cradle and travel sync cable and what did I find ?????? to my surprise in this nice big box was a lonley little power cord for the AC but NO SYNC tools.I am told it will take 7 to 10 days for this to show up....Must be a Canadian thing.

While I,m here I went looking for CF cards today. All I can fined are San Disk product and I am not sure if I should trust them does any one have any suggestions for Canadian places to buy other CF products.

Back order

I just got my Axim last week. The cords are on back order. They should have an est. this week when they'll be sent out. I have a Toshiba laptop. Thank God the cord fits the Axim power pack. I know it maybe be an extra expense, but perhaps you may want to try a computer store that repairs laptops.

Good Luck.
