Now the website says that you have to donate at least $5 to have the limitations lifted. But it still sounds like a great deal.

I have used Ofoto.com for uploading photo albums to share with family members. (You cannot use it for image hosting.) You have unlimited space but you have to order something from them at least once a year. But it can even be a 20-cent printout and you are OK.

Not true. I've not had any issues with my FTP server, I'm hosting it @ home with a cable connection.

I don't know about you but my contract explicitly says that operating any kind of server is prohibited. I believe that most other cable companies have similar restrictions.

You know what, I'll worry about that if they say anything. I believe this is more for businesses. I'm not eating up a bunch of bandwidth by sharing out a few documents and PPC installs.

I have heard that some companies block the ports 21 and 80. As for the image hosting, lol.... I use www.schrags.com . Can make your own albums and such, and is free.Example

So now you are openly condoning the violation of cable company service contracts? This is against Aximsite forum rules. I'll let the admins handle this.

It's in the FAQ. Also, if you click on the Donate button, there it says that donating at least $5 will result in lifting the limitations.

That's true, technically, breaching a contract is not illegal. But then you can argue that breaching a license agreement is not illegal either and then we are on a slippery slope.

Never really used apache, just iis cuz i didn't feel like configuring apache. But just stick it in the folder that you set as the root www folder with apache.

Find the root directory of the server first and then put the file to the appropriate path starting from there.

Would the root directory be in the program files?

I'm sorry to say this but if you are breaching your service contract then you are actually doing something wrong.
BTW I was not warned for anything, unless you mean your warning, which I really don't care about. You are just another user here.
