Might want to get some free photo album software that just allows you to organize it into folders and it does the rest. Ill try to pull up some links for you. Do you have install access on your server? If so, is it linux?

EDIT: You can also try searching for a photo album, go to the bottom of the page and see what it is powered by, google that and find its site and dl it. Thats what i would do.

I would recommend uploading them to www.photobucket.com it is completely free and u have unlimited space. Then if you want them on ur site copt the url photobucket gives u and repeat for each pic. I have a ? how much money did it cost u to make ur own webserver? Is that software free?

@ Ivy - You took the words right out of my mouth. :approve: . Also, it really doesn't cost much to host a web server if you don't want anything to fancy. It could be run
on a laptop. My FTP server runs on an old PII 266. However, FTP requires no GUI, and is a great way just to share files, which is all I need for now.

I built the pc i am on right now, its a p4 1.6ghz, 512mb RdRam PC800, nvidia 4200ti, dvd burner, two 80 gb drives.. my total on ebay was $320 :) I built a 10" square acrylic clear case for it with blue neon lights :P .. Apache web server is free, php is free, my sql is free, umm windows xp, not free lol. Apache web server doesnt take much cpu or ram usage at all I really really like it compared to the hogging built in windows IIS server in windows xp pro.. Ill look around, thanks

You don't need a good computer to run a web server at all. I would just get an old computer you don't use and make a deticated one. My ftp and web server runs fine on a 166. Also... there would be no point in building a nice computer to just act as a server because, unless you are on a connection other than cable/dsl your upload speed will be bottlencking everything anyway. Most cable companies have a max set at 30 k/sec for the upload speed. You want software such as...http://www.schrags.com/modules.php?name=coppermine ??

I looked at it and it says that the space limit is 100 MB and there is a 2500 MB/month bandwidth limit.

You have to donate via PayPal, and they remove the storage/bandwidth restrictions. I only donated $2 and they lifted the restrictions. It is completely free, but non-restricted with a minimal PayPal donation! :)

Most cable companies don't allow you to operate any kind of server from your home connection.

Yes.... but they don't BLOCK you from doing it, lol. But if you are using like 1 gb of upload bandwidth a day then the probably will port scan you and then ask you to take down your server.
