Who's side are you on?:p
I'm all for concerned parents and that jive don't get me wrong, but perhaps you should tell your kids that your doing this? It depends on your motive and age of your children in my opinion. If they're 10 and your worried about them talking to the wrong sorts of people then go for your logging and tell them about the
Dangers of the Internet. If there 16 and your
snooping to see exactly whats going on in their lives you should probably just ask them.
Now you shouldn't listen to me or anything, this is just my experience as a teenager. I have a good friend (Used to hang around Aximsite) whose parents started monitering his AIM and he flipped his lid. As for me, my parents are the one who pay for the connection, and they should know whats going on with their connection.
If I must make one point, then I'd recommend if they are older then say "Hey Kids, I know what you do on the internet so watch out -- how about some ice cream?" instead of not telling them, finding out little Billy bought marijuana from some kid at school and then proving it with a chat log. The ensuing bomb of drama will not be fun for either partys. That also means no ice cream.
Then again how else are you going to find out if little Billy is smoking up? How much privacy to you give a kid? Hell if I know. I don't got nothing to hide from my parents, spare maybe a few magazines of questionable content :approve: so I have no idea what to think, my parents are usually pretty supportive of things.
I'm sure your a great father though, I'm not saying your not. Just saying that to make sure we are all on the same page that I'm not trying to come off badly. I may or may not have just made a point, so I'll end with a little saying.
"Everybody is a Great Parent.... Untill they have Kids"
\/\/\/\/\/I wish I could be that consise, also I'am 16 aswell. :approve:
