I am getting into C#, and am playing with the PPC version of the compiler.
Does anyone have a suggestions about text editors? Multi-document would be nice. Adjustable tab stops is essential (or at least fixed at no more than two or three characters) .
I've heard good things about CEdit, but I have not yet had a chance to try it out.

Wow! A real programmer's editor! Looks verypromising! I'll have to mess around with profiles, but it looks like it can do everyrthing I wanted, and more...
I am still trying out CEdit. The colour-coded formatting is cool... I am still trying to understand the compiler's make file format, so until I have a handle on it I won't be very productive.
It's also like trying to program in a mail-slot. The X30 screen is a touch smaller than the 12x9 19" monitor I usually use...
I am also doing this testing with the Dell BT keyboard. I'm still retraining my fingers to use the Fn keys to access the symbols, but it seems decent enough for programming. I may program different/additonal key mappings for { and } since they are on the same side of the keyboard as the function key that activates them... if I can I'll swap them with the 'shift' symbols on the same keys.
That's cool. I havn't really done much actual programming on my Axim itself. I have an external keyboard for it, but I suppose I spend so much time doing it on a desktop PC that I think I would only end up doing hobby programming on a PDA. And maybe doing it just to do it. :)
So I haven't yet. I'm afraid if I like it, it'll take up more spare time than I care to give up. Heheh.
I'm mostly doing this as a 'mind stretcher'. Managing every piece of a C# app by hand is forcing me to really understand the pieces. No Intellisense, no wizards.
sigh, I hadnt tried my bt keyboard yet... just did though and my curser also dissapears when im scrolling around. If i stop though it comes back after a second

I've fired off a note to the developer. Since it's shareware and this probably affects any device that uses the ThinkOutside keyboard driver I'm hoping it will be fixed in short order. I really like CEdit, but the disappearing cursor is starting to be a show-stopper when it comes to purchasing it...
I rarely use the SIP cursor keys, so I didn't pick up on that. It is definitely a CEdit problem though... Pocket Word, PIE, Tillanosoft's text editor all handle the cursor correctly.

The developer found it 'very strange', no specific solutions. Question: have upgraded your Ax to A05? Or perhaps have an iPaq or such lying around? I am wondering if it specfic to the X30 with A00, or maybe to WM2003...
