Mad Dell Leather Case Scratches Axim!!!

To everyone reading this... and hopefully Dell, who I will be calling.

First off... I take care of my things.

But I was using it today and happened to look at the Axim's body rather than the screen and I noticed scratching and wear on the top left corner and on the beam port. I was peaved and kept wondering what the heck could have caused it. I figured out it is the zipper. The Axim is not protected from the interior metal zipper when inside the upgraded leather case Dell sells with its Axim.

Anyone else experiencing this?

That doesn't look good m8. I have that leather case too.. thanks for sharing this, I will keep it in mind. Mine is too new to show damage already. If you contact Dell about this I'm curious for their reaction..

I too use the Dell leather cse but have NOT had this problem. Hmmm. I shall be wary, however.

I too have been using the leather case for about a 1 1/2 months. I don't show any wear yet, but I will be more carefull when using it.

Pull up on the zipper when closing the case. The zipper is rubbing.

After reading this, I took a look and low and behold, I am noticing some very slight wear from the zipper as well. Thanks for pointing this out, I will be more careful and pull up on the zipper when closing.

My Dell leather case didn't come with a zipper. Or is this the one you purchase separately?

I was going to have a cow there if Dell is shipping the Axims with new leather cases. Thanks!

Dell has been real good about the scratched Axim

Dell has replaced my Axim no questions asked. I am now shopping for a new case. Be careful with any case that has a zipper!

I have had mine since the end of November. No scratches and I do have the zippered leather case. I take mine everywhere. I guess I am just lucky.

Same problem... just noticed

Thanks for pointing out the problem. I hadn't noticed that the case does this before this time... and I think I'm going to contact Dell and pick up the new flip-up leather case instead. Anyone have any experience with the new one?

Cool Leather Case

I too have the leather case but have not seen this issue. I will be on the look out for signs. Thanks for the heads up...
