Mad Handango PROBLEM - RESOLVED BY RESCO

Resco came to the rescue and gave me the info to resolve issue. I got the software for 50% off and the nice lady at Resco gave me "Viewer" for free for the hassle.

Handango did nothing to resolve it!






Does anyone have a good way of contacting them or have knowledge of their customer service ability?

There was a software packaged offered for 50% off and when I tried to put in the number (promo) the system would not take it. I tried three or 4 times and then used their system to contact customer service.

I never received a reply but the 50% offer disappeared from he site.


I did save the page because I have become skeptical of on-line sites since Tigerdirect screwed me over. Since there is no hard copy of an advertisement then there is no proof unless you save it.

Was the coupon for Resco Explorer 2003?

There was a thread on Brighthand about it, and someone did eventually get a reply. It turns out the rebate was only intended for Dell customers or something, but they completely pulled the rebate anyway.

False Advertising

That was it!

They had it on thier website so if they do not honor it then it is false advertising.

I decided i am going to push this as I have bought so much junk software that the "Company" says will do this and that when in reality it does not do what they say.

I copied the page and if they ignore me then I will file a complaint.

I've also mailed them several times on the same coupon issue, got no response, other than removing the coupon from the site.

Its not so much them not honouring the deal (although its frustrating, at least you've not put money down and not recieved anything) but to not respond to support requests is a little disturbing since as others have pointed out if a purchase goes wrong and you never see the software/code how do you resolve the issue other than going through your card company.

Mad I'm still seething about that!

I was surfing around the other day and noticed this same 50% off deal on Handango. I had everything in my shopping cart, took a screen shot of it, then decided to wait till the next day to buy. The next day I show up and can't find the same deal. It was supposed to expire on March 31st. I wondered what happened too. Oh well, now I just won't use Resco explorer, it's their loss. Let me know how your efforts turn out. If you somehow manage to get a new 50% discount code, let us know. I'd probably purchase it then.

Mad Something SMELLS

The message I got from Resco is at the bottom. The finger pointing has begun and of course no reply from Handango. I have a complaint form coming from our states consumer protection agency as I am getting real tired of the way lots of companies use the internet for sales and then flippantly do not have to honor what they put out there.
I had the same problem with Tigerdirect at Halloween as they had offers that were good (according to their advertisement that came through the email) until midnight of Halloween. I got the email at work so decided to wait until I got home and place the order and guess what, I opened the email at home and they changed the links to their graphics and now the items said “SOLD OUT” across the face. I called them and they said that they ran out and I offered back that the sale was until midnight and I wanted a raincheck. They pretty much told me “to bad” and that was it. If that were a local store they would have had to offer rain checks but since these business are on the net they feel that they can’t be touched for anything but MAJOR offenses. Most people I know bitch and bitch but never do anything about it.

Ok, now we are getting somewhere.

Thanks to Alena at Resco, you can use the code at Handango Dell Website

Then search for resco, go to checkout put in the code and away you go.

The registration code didn't work with the trial version i downloaded from the main handango site, i downloaded the version suggested during completion of purchase and worked fine.

Was it all worth it for $10 anyway thanks to Resco, and especially Alena.

That's the one thing that didn't show up on the screenshot of my shopping cart. The code they give is for 20%. I'm trying to locate the 50% off code.

I had the same problem with Handago. Purchased software and they gave me the site for the trial version only to down load.

Not any one there at the ship. No reply, no one takes responsibility for any thing.

Wrote, Faxed, Called and still took about 45 days before they gave me the correct sight to down load the purchased version and not the trial.

They kept repeating, received your notice and if you do not reply back we will consider all is resolved.

What a joke. A total messed up site. I do not think I will every order any thing again from Handago.

I had a problem with this company also.

I could never get any one that would talk to you or understand the problem. After Purchase they kept giving me the trial version site to down load.

After abut 45 days I found the site and down loaded the full version. I even called the Main office, no one there would even talk about it.

I kept getting this messsage.. If you do not here back from you with in 48 hours we will considered that this has been resolved.

Nothing but a mess. I will never purchased any thing from Handango again. I almost had to call my Credit Card co to have this transaction canceled.

I thought I was the only one with this problem.

I had nothing but problems with Handango as well. I do not know how they stay running. The refund process is the worst I have had to deal with.
