Service Tag & Axim web support at Dell

I fought today with Dell phone Customer Care and tech support about information that should be at their web support page.

1 ----
I could not enter my service tag number to access their support area. I got several "stories" about that, and misdirections, until someone (in a different support area) gave me another service tag so I could access the support area.
Has anyone been able to enter their Axim service tag number to identify yourself as an Axim owner?

2 ----
Is there anything on the Dell support page that is not in the User Guide that comes with the Axim? I don't think I found anything?

Yes

www.dell.com (click home or biz or what account you have)
Support
Manage my Systems
Enter the Service Tag (Submit)
Click on the description you made
You also have choices of Warranty (exntesion), Owner Transfer, Service Call Status, Online Documentation and a couple others.

As far as other items online, I don't know. I never even read the manual

Entery my service tag - its the 7 digit number/alpha code on the back when you have the battery removed, right?

I was on customer support for Dell and they couldn't change it either. They could see it in their database, but not online.

One of the stories I got was that the Axims are not supported on the web yet, so if you enter a service tag for an Axim it will be rejected.

True, Axims are mainly telephone support since they do not have any 'drivers' or FAQs online for the units.

The method I showed above will show warranty info and such. On configuratin, they try to download a CAB to a PC and read BIOS etc fromt he computer itself. I doubt the Axim would do that.

I finally found a Customer Care person that helped (I think).
They couldn't update the information on the web, but did verify ALL of my information accessible through dial up assistance (customer care and tech support), and she sent an e-mail to the web people to remove the bogus service tag and enter the correct one.

I am not sure, but based on the service tag entered, they ID the type of product you have and tailor the links you have to information, or they just default to desktop information and you have to search for anything else.
I clicked on something to read manuals or white papers or some information, and everything was desktop/laptop OS, desktop HW, and some stuff on customer service. Nothing on Axims.
I only found Axim info by searching for Axim.

This (axim site) appears to be the best place for Axim support! One of the support people at Dell even mentioned this site, saying he was going to search for info on my issue here. I told him I already did!
I guess this site is becoming well known.

The service tag is the 7 digit code you referenced.
The service code is the 11 digit string of numbers.
