Outlook/Outlook Express Question (Non-PDA Related)

While I realize this question is from the world known as "Noob" and maybe not appropriate for Aximsite, I will ask anyway and hope that the fraternity of Axim users will be helpful and patient with me.

Here goes:

I use Outlook for my calendar and contacts (and sync them to my x5) and I use Outlook Express for my e-mail. Most of my e-mail contacts are in Outlook Express; is there a way to export them to Outlook so that I can have them on-the-go with my X5?

Thanks for any help.

Let me see if I can help you out. Outlook Express uses the Address Application Built into Windows.

>In Outlook Express click Addresses at the top Button Bar
>From there click on File then Export
>In Export select "Other Address Book"
>Now Choose "Text File Comma Seperated Values"
>Just Go though that Wizard, It should be easy for you

Congrats you now have your Outlook Express Contacts in a File now

>Open up Outlook, I'am using Outlook 2000
>Select File
>Select Import/Export
>Now Select "From another Program or File"
>Now Select "Comma Seperated Values (Windows)"
>Now Select your CSV you made in Outlook Express
>Now Select Contacts
>Now Select Finish

There you go, your Outlook Express contacts are now in Outlook, Hopefully you could follow my instructions if you have any questions please feel free to PM me, the Procedure should be quite simple though. Glad I could help you, Merry Christmas MTANGEN.
