"Ever Since my kids found out Santa won't be bringing them a Nintendo DS they have done nothing but fight and cry"
LOL....Sorta what Dell did to a few big kids. :)
I'm personally not into Ebay but I have no problems with it. If this lady wouldn't of waited till after Thanksgiving her kids would be getting their DS's at regular prices.

Exactly. People wait until the last minute and expect to get one of the most popular items of the year in-store, and then get upset when they can't find any. That's ridiculous. While I have personally been guilty of last-minute shopping on several occasions, I don't get upset if I can't find it because I know I did it to myself.
When I used to work at a large electronics retailer, people came in there complaining left and right about not being able to buy a PS2 the first Christmas it came out. My answer to every one of them.... "We had plenty in stock before Thanksgiving, but Sony has not been able to supply enough to all of the various stores to keep them in-stock during Christmas season." In other words, do your shopping early or prepare to pay high-dollar on eBay. :p

I especially like that top-right photo on the page. I can't decide what's worse... the fact that the lady is upset because of her own fault of last-minute shopping, or the fact that the lady actually made her son pose for a 'crying' picture to post on her eBay 'pity' auction. :p

Heh. Sounds like lots of kids (I think the ones being talked about will be just fine, having parents with such a wicked sense of humor) will be learning the truth, as told by the five wise men: You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometime, you get what you need ;)
The photos were really a crack up. They were obviously staged for humor. Hard to believe people honestly take that whole thing seriously.
An someone that owns a couple eBay broker / drop off locations, all I can say is "Tough, to bad, don't care" I don't see that person helping out on the opposite when someone gets stuck with products they can't move, so why get hit up when they have something that can move. Does anyone want to hear about the damn Hokey Pokey Elmos we got stuck with last year... Nope.. but an eBay seller gets slammed if they pick right. That woman should not wait until Xmas eve to try to buy the top items, if she loved her kids as much as she pretends she would have planned ahead.
Sounds to me like the greedy b*stards are the kids who want what they want when they want it or else they're going to make mom and dad's lives miserable.

Yeah, right. If that were all they wanted then what's all this about a Nintendo DS? What they want is for mom and dad to 'spend time' getting it for them.
Oh yeah, and I also like the fact that the winning bid was only $5.50.

My new favorite quote (attrributed to Mark Twain, although i haven't been able to confirm the attribution or the wording):
"Those who don't read the newspaper are uninformed.
Those who do read the newspaper are missinformed."
I hope you are all proud of your tidy little profits as we parents wait in line in the freezing cold at 6 in the morning only to be told there are none left. Probably because you modern day profit mongers have bribed some manager to sell all their stock to you.
To all you parents out there keep up the faith. Keep calling the national stores. Toys R Us had some today around here. Keep trying and whatever you do don't fall prey to the heartless scalpers. Time will make more units available and your kids will understand. All they really want is for us to spend time with them anyway.
Want to know what struck me have a look at the two bits in bold - If she was so desperate to get them then why did she not get them at Toys R Us.
Obviously the woman is so annoyed as to slag sellers off but not annoyed to take a drive to Toys R Us - Is she housebound and has to order everything from the net?
