I’m not sure how to take that – that’s my attempt at smiling!
I wouldn’t have been totally ‘cut’ – I’m not completely irresponsible. That same trip, a 30 MPH, 100 Kg boarder whacked a girl. He was made to stay with her for 2 hours while she got checked out. I think he got the message about boarding within your capabilities
I must admit, I’m quite partial to a good drop of the old Captain Morgan’s rum though.
At the end of a day, when everyone should be off the piste, I do enjoy getting ‘tanked up’ with a group of guys and racing to the bottom. :exc:
You obviously do this at your own risk.
Once I got stuck on a tree – the backs of my skis sank into the soft snow around the base of a tree. The only way I freed myself was by taking my boots off, which at the angle I was at and the state I was in, took forever.
2 years ago in Slovenia, I took a wrong turn and ended up at the ‘bottom’ of a black run (where there was a closed lift). The only way down was another black run – a 3 KM steep, winding, forest track, of waist high snow and it was pretty dark. I would normally have had enough problems getting down – I got to the bottom 5 hours later.
I got back to the hotel to your usual assortment of fellow, whingeing Brits, going on about dripping taps.
This is how I met ‘Psycho Girl’ – guess she thought I’d got a few personal issues – can’t think why. :rolling:
Cheers
