I'm tempted to root for the Pats because I have a friend I could tease about an Eagles loss, but McNabb deserves a win and frankly I never really liked the Patriots much....

Let me clarify LarryNJ. I am more speaking to the negativity about the NFC. Now I admit, that the NFC was weak this year, and that defintly helped the Eagles. But they are underdogs in the Superbowl for that very reason. My thoughts on it is, yes, they weren't really that powerful of a team in the early season, but I would have to say that each week that the team has grown as a whole. To the point where I think that just because their conference was weak that they have more than a fighting chance at taking down the Pats.

There are many reasons why a line is set at a certain number. The books know that there will be a ton of money bet from the Philly area so they need to cover that some. Also the Pats have been there and won 2 times. They are the champs and should be favored. You can bet your life that the Pats respect the Eagles and they won't take them lightly.

Oh. I wasn't talking about lines, Larry. I meant every sports writer, analyst, commentator; that does not have any link to the Philly, South Jersey area. I should have specified that I didn't mean gambling odds.
