Today is finally decided (by the dutch gov.) that the Dutch millitary is leaving Iraq as of March. So we won't stay any longer. the USA and the UK won't like it, but we don't care:)
It wasn't our war anyway.
Good for them I guess..but I really doubt it will make the news here, 1000 soldiers is 1/3 the crew capacity of a typical modern aircraft carrier hardly enough to get riled up about. It was a nice gesture but I really dont think you need to worry about the USA or UK balking about it.

3rd stone from the sun is now closer to heaven. Good for the Dutch. I think the world will be better off if/when the US stops deciding policy for everyone else with military and economic force. We can't even fix our own problems.

Get your facts straight. 1400 guys are there, and politically seen I bet you $100 the US and the UK arn't very happy! 20 months ago we had many problems with the US/UK because we hadn't plan to go at all!
There isn't any reason anymore to stay. Elections are coming up, so everybody can move out, basically.
Well basically there wasn't any reason, only lies to go there.
We have enough of watching the ass of illegal intruders! And we rather send back 1400 men alive then 1400 body bags something the US don't care about.
