Argh I Hate Fedex

I bought my x50v pda from this guy, he sent it 3 business day fedex. It goes out on friday, and by saturday it went cross the country to my state only 200 miles from here. it doesn move anywhere on monday tho. So i call em and there like, its 3 business day so we dont give a ****. Then today it showed it in the city right next of here like 10 miles away at 7 am(we're basically one city) and it then i find it, the tracking at 5 pm SHOWS IT STAYING THERE STILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ARGHH
Is there any way to go there a pick it up?
its 6:30 pm right now

if you had called them up, you can usually get them to leave it at the local warehouse and pick it up yourself. I've done this a number of times with both fedex and ups.

Fedex is an ok company guys, not UPS, but still pretty good

One thing i do like is their 5 Day service usually gets to me in only 3 from anywhere in the USA

Sometimes it is annoying when it is so close (They have a warehouse 15 miles away) but just wait, its really ok :D

If you really need it, call and you can usually arrange pickup

Sorry Grentz, but UPS isn't too good for Canadian orders shipped from the State. Often a $20. purchase will have a $40 custom fee. ???? I try to avoid them at all cost. I have to admit that their delivery service is good though.

Very true, UPS is not good for canadians

make sure that it is not Fedex ground because they are not actually Fedex. 1 had a package being shipped by Fedex ground and It took 2 weeks once it was in town they will also not let you pick it up
I had to Call and complain to getthem to deliver...horrible experience

Well, I have to say that I just had an experience with UPS that I've never had with FedEx. (Well, to be fair, it's not complete yet, and I never had it before with UPS, either.)

I ordered an X50v on Sunday evening; the initial estimated ship date was March 8. Last night I checked my order status on the Dell site and was pleasantly surprised to see that the package had shipped already, a week early. Because I took the free ground shipping option, they estimated arrival between March 4 and 8. I couldn't track it on UPS yet at that point.

I checked this morning and the UPS tracking number worked. I found that the package had been scanned at its origin, Nashville, at 6:00 this morning and that it was now expected to arrive on Friday. I was very pleased, as that was the earliest arrival date in the Dell estimate.

This evening I checked UPS tracking again and discovered an arrival scan at 6:30 p.m. in Chelmsford, MA! It's now scheduled to be here tomorrow! (If that's ground shipping from Nashville to Chelmsford in 12 hours, UPS must owe a bunch of speeding tickets!)

Anyhow, that's the first time I've ever seen accelerated delivery like that; usually it's either on time or late. Somehow I don't think FedEx would have done that.

actaully UPS is the worst company i have ever delt with in my whole life, fedex wasn't that bad last time i had something shipped thru them, purolator is good, USPS/Canadapost kicks ass, ive never had a problem with them. i ship tons of stuff via ebay, etc and i always ask to ship thru usps i even paid someone MORE one time to ship thru USPS. it has always gotten to me in one peice where as UPS destroys my package and then charges me 2x the item's price for duty, UPS please go to hell

Interesting, just where you are also

My company ships thousand through UPS and we have never had a problem with them, they are usually on time or before time and seem to do an overall good job
