Size does matter!

For all those that don't know me, I was recently added to the news and review team .. so hello

Now, on with the question!

When I talk about Aximsite, I say it's the largest Axim forum on the web (in terms of total members and active members). Does anyone know if it's also the largest PDA forum on the web? I've been looking around and I haven't really found another one that compares.

I'm also waiting for that Aximsite member count to boost up to 80,000. Right now, I can only say it has "almost 80,000 registered members". But one day I'll be able to replace the almost and throw in a "more than". Iggity-iggity OH YEAH!

(Ironically, this is also my first "water fountain" post - horray)

I have no idea about the size, but there's no doubt that this site is by far the best.

Just looked around trying to find SOME sight that was at least on par with the number of members here, but could find nothing. I think I went through 4 pages of Google results and have not found another site that comes close.

I would be curious how many members Brighthand has, but there doesn't appear to be a way to find out.

I've gone to few sites tonight and look at recent posting. None compare to Aximsite!

BTW LarryNJ my mind is always in the gutter hanging around this site!

I figured if anyone could compare, it would be Brighthand. But like you, I couldn't find the actual # (or current active number). Isn't there a site that ranks all the forums?

I'll have to search around and see if I can find the member level on Brighthand. I use to post there. There must be a way.

EDIT: Looks like they only have a little over 38,000 members. I found a member that joined in Mar of '05 and the member number was 38,329. If that means the same as here on Aximsite, then that is the number of members.

I know a lot of people came FROM the brighthand forums to hear.

p.s. how do I reference a specific reply? Like if I wanted to link directly to this reply. I've seen it done before.

Next to the time of the post (upper left corner of the post) there is a post number. That is a link to the specific post.

There is also a way to link to a specific post and have the rest of the thread still available for scrolling. Frenchy and MrK would be able to tell you. I can't remember off the top of my head.

Can you help Rachel with her previous question about linking to a specific post? I know how to do it for the post itself, but not how to retain the surrounding posts.
