Hi all, I felt compelled to write this, as I do not know what is going to happen next.
I know there is a lot of controversy whether the US should be involved in war overseas. But, regradless of anyones beliefs about war, the soldiers should be our priority. I say this as a wife of a soldier who is in Afghanistan. I have just learned that there was 4 Indiana soldiers in Afghanistan were killed today. I am praying for everyone involved, unsure what the status of my husband is.
I can't imagine how difficult this must be for you and other families.
I always include members of the armed forces & their families in my prayers. May peace be with you.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you Jenster during this difficult time. I pray that your husband is fine and for the families of the soliders involved in the accident.
My nephew is on his 3rd tour in Iraq with the Marines so I know the feeling when you hear news like that and have to wait for particulars. My son is also serving in the Navy but is currently stationed in Norfolk.
It's always difficult when you have loved ones serving overseas but it's so much worse during a Holiday season.
Thank you all for your prayers, support, and kind words. My husband called and said that he was ok. PTL ! But, 4 families have been told that there loved one has been killed. My heart goes out to them and they are in my prayers.
It has been hard to go through the holidays and birthdays without my husband. I have a 2 year old and a 4 year old and my husband has been gone since July 2004, so he has missed the holidays and their birthdays. I know it is just as hard on the soldiers as it is the family members to be gone.
Today was the hardest day since he left and after learning about the explosion, and not knowing his condition, everything else seemed so insignificant.
I am sorry if I am blabbering on, unless you have been through this, I guess you wouldn't understand. I have a new found respect for my husband and the other soldiers.
Everyon have a Happy Easter and remember Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I
am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
One year has passed and we hope all is well with your family. Do you have an update?
WOW! It is hard to believe it has been almost a year. We are thrilled that my husband came home in August after spending more than a year in Afghanistan. His unit is a medic unit and did a lot of humanitarian work. The Afghan's loved all of the soldiers that were there and thankful that they were there to help. But, of course no one hears about that in the news, which is a real shame.
There are still soldiers over there, and probably will be for some time. Whether you believe that President Bush has done the right thing or not, we should continue to pray for our troops and their families and President Bush.
As a soldier and citizen of this great nation, I pray for and salute all the men and women in our armed forces, along with their families.

Does anyone pray for the inocents who dies in iraq..?my relative family..they are small family of father and mother with 3 kids...they where killed as usuall by (friendly fire)..nice expression to make things easier.
by the way the recent polls in my countery..85 % of people do not need your soliders in iraq..and the most of people say we do not invite us soldiers to our land...
people its occupation and our folk have the right to fight for freedom..I hate saddam
and most of people in iraq hate him too...but now a lot of people want him to come back...you know why?
cause your beloved soldiers and their leadership destroy the countery and we know one truth ....they will leave just like in vietnam..
its the same story....
oil for freedom

Sounds like you're having fun to me with all your gadgets. By the way, I'm glad Real Player worked out for you as well, as you stated in another thread. How does an Axim work in Iraq when you claim "we have no electricity"? Sentemento, this thread wasn't about you, perhaps you should start a separate one instead of hijacking this one.
