Haha, it's funny because the new EE is slower than the previous one, the emt 64 and 6 series aren't very good, and the fx-55 is STILL the fastest processor, with the fx-57 soon to be released. Also, the new venice cores were released and overclock like nuts.

I've been given a free 16mb thumb drive a year ago by a computer store, and a 1G yesterday. I'm glad I didn't spend $$$ to get them.

Thanks for the support...and I don't know how many times I've said that THG is intel and ati biased...

PS
I won't ever claim that AMD is better for multitasking/encoding, because it isn't.

Interesting that even the fastest arn't a HUGE amount faster than a 3gig prescott, not relative to the price at least.

Besides benchmarks i still wonder what the speed means for people....My Intel 3.0 Powers through Half Life 2 and other high intensity games with no problem and no slowness :approve: Plus it is super fast in applications. So i dont see why it matters if you go for the AMD for gaming considering the Intel in real use seems just as fast

For general use, my Intel is faster. For gaming, it flies, and when playing (doom III) My friends FX shows no speed difference. Game runs great on both... But lets be honest, more people actually use their pc's for things other than games...

I personally love the speed that i can encode and decode divx at!

Or not....the new winchesters and venices run far cooler than the burning hot prescotts...
