Don't claim all your exemptions on your W2 Form.
More $$ out of your paycheck, then claim ALL exemptions when filing your taxes = $$$$$ money back.
This is what people are talking about giving Uncle Sam an intrest free loan. I do it, but not to a large scale. I claim NO exemptions throughout the year, then on tax day I claim Me, my only legitimite exemption....usually gets me a bit over a thousand back. Enough for a new toy or some similar splurge.
Doesn't hurt me greatly throughout the year.
There is a thing called "Tax Free Day" or something like that. Takes a bit of homework, but you calculate what your taxes should be for the current tax year, claim Zero Dependants up until the day sufficient taxes have been removed, then claim a bagillion exemptions by changing your W2 for the rest of the year and get no taxes taken out for the rest of the year. It seems like "Tax Free Day" is normally in June for most folks.
There's nothing illegal about it, just so long as you claim only Legal Exemptions on your Tax Form on April 15th, and end up with the correct amount of money to Uncle Sam.
