Well, I absolutly Hate Math. I have to put up with it all day and it's a fundamental part of life, but when I go to aximsite the only Math I have to put with is putting more then 10 letters in my posts.

Yes, Aximsite is now desecrated to me, with this thing the British call "Maths".

(The Answer is indeed 42)

Hmm, ok I screwed something up I guess, I'll agree with (x - y - z)(x^2 + y^2 - z^2)
Let's check by multiplying it out.
(x-y-z)(x^2+y^2-z^2) works out to be x^3-y^3+z^3-x^2y-x^2z+xy^2-xz^2-y^2z+yz^2
Quote:
x^3 - y^3 + z^3 - x^2y - x^2z + xy^2 - xz^2 - y^2z + yz^2
Looks right.

You also seem to hate English, given how you spelled "absolutly".
I absolutely love math, and in fact, I think about math when I run Fear Factor on my PC. I'm simply amazed at what scenes can result when a very large binary number is sent through an extremely intricate maze of circuits and then used to modulate light waves.
Then again, all digital data are numbers. This message is a number. A digital picture is a number. Anything that can be expressed in words can be expressed in numbers. A book is a container for a large number.
Suddenly, I realized that all of us deal with math in one form or another. I realized that when I put words together to make sentences, I just concatenated some numbers. To quote a friend of mine, "I'm a simple girl in a complex world."

I'm glad my picture has use long after the photothread focus has ended.

And, in all honesty, if you know a bit of algebra, the math problem wasn't THAT hard. It certainly is no calculus (and thank GOD for that). The only daunting thing about it was the ^#'s instead of just the innocent little exponents.

But then again, I'm an English major, and I am done with Math for the rest of my life. Good riddance you pesky numbers and variables!

That's right, why ask for "mere" homework. Instead, you should demand full page essays and theorems! Who needs homework, it is so petty!

Unfortunately, that's not the one I was referring to....

It was some sort of "learning" commercial. There was a kid that was having trouble in math, used these learning materials, and then in class the next scene he knew the answer was "27!!" and then the cheesy music and all started up.

Just one of those strange memories tucked away with all the other useless info in my brain (or is it the useful info that's tucked away??).
