Rough Day....

Anyone else having a rough day today? I know I sure am. This morning on the way to school I noticed that my friend's wife was off on the left side of the road with a flat tire. As i was turned looking at her, the car in front of me stopped (because of oncoming traffic) to turn into a closed down bait shop (an unlikely place to turn). After seeing that she was on her cell phone, calling her husband (my friend, who later came) I turned back to focus on the road, only to find a Subaru Legacy 4 feet in front of me. Now 4 feet may not sound too bad, but I was going 55mph and he was dead stopped. I had about 1/2 a second to slam the wheel to the right as hard as i could to avoid a even harder hit than I suffered. After the dust settled and I pried my door open I saw the extent of the damage. My truck won't drive again and his car wasn't well of. The police came and redirected traffic and then the whole process of questions, sigining stuff and the like began. Thankfully to God, neither I nor the other driver was hurt. It was also very nice that I knew one of the officers that came down. I got a $100 ticket along with 2 points to my license. So not too bad overall, except $3000 of truck totally gone, as I only have liability insurance, and not full coverage. Anyway, I suppose you are wondering how bad it looked, and I had to snap a pic for memory sake (sorry for the quality, it was on my phone) Anyway, here is my truck on the tow truck at the gas station nearby.

As for bodyily injury I got away with this scrape and one bruise on my arm. As time is going by though I am realising the horrible case of whiplash I recieved though. Pretty lucky when I look back at it however.

Anyone else have a bad day?

-Brad

is it just me or is it adding insult to injury when you are ticketed for a wreck. I mean your insurance is going to go way up. isnt that punishment enough.

Ouch.

Even if it doesn't hurt too much now, put ice on your back. It will help the inflammation later on.

Sorry to hear about the crash; they are never ever good things. Unfortunate about the insurance too, although I suppose it'll make you get fully comp insurance next time?! Anyway, take it easy and rest up. :)

That is definitely a bad day. Glad you're OK, but I'm sure that you'll be rather sore for a while. I'm sure a lot of good vibes are headed in your direction from members of Aximsite.

Sorry to hear about the accident. We've all been there (well, perhaps not "there" but we've all had our bad days). What I can assure you is that being safe and sound after an accident is a blessing, and things will get better :)

Ouch - not good. Car accidents suck. It's amazing how quickly it can happen.

On the plus side - odds are significantly stronger that you'll now be a better driver because of the accident.

you mean they got sent to the babysitter. My dad is the ISS Cordinator for the middle school, and honestly i think they should skip ISS and send them straight to county. most of the students he has ends up there anyway. But he dosnt seem to mind, gives him time to work on other stuff, and he dosnt have to worry with lesson plans.
