Home network firewall configuration question

People here have been giving me great (and much appreciated) advice on how to set up a simple home network using two desktop computers (both with Windows XP) and a crossover cable. Here's what I've done so far:

- installed an ethernet card on my old computer
- connected my old computer to my new computer with a crossover cable.
- used the networking wizard on both computers.

Everything seems to working fine. I can access the shared files. And I can access the internet from both computers.

The only glitch is that to access the internet from my old computer I first have to turn off the firewall on the new computer. Then I start up a browser on the old computer. Then I turn on the firewall again on the new computer. After doing this, I can browse the internet on both computers.

It sounds like I have to reset my firewalls somehow. Does anybody know what I need to do? (Note: I have the cable modem hooked up the new computer. My firewall is TrendMicro PC-cillin.)
