To be fair, Man U had the better of it for most of the match, but just couldn't score. Arsenal, however, then showed them how it was done with 5 superb penalties. Just goes to show I was right all along: Man United are a bunch of girls! And as for their supporters... :hide:

Sounds fair to me.

I couldn't agree more. In fact anyone who supports any football team is a big girls' blouse. I bet if you met a Man-U supporter you'd hit him with your handbag.
I watched the match from half time and it was very entertaining, for a soccer match.
But I can't see the point of gloating over the result and insulting the losing side and their supporters on this forum .
Let's keep soccer hooligan thuggish attitudes on the terraces and keep these forums free from any form of incitement to hatred.

hmmm You really haven't got the hang of this football thing have you....
Maybe you should just stick to the Eurovision song contest

Great game, crappy result. To be fair, Utd couldn't get the ball in the net (well, apart from the offiside incident) so really it's tough to say that they deserved to win. Even if they did play the gooners off the park.
They'll be back stronger next year I'm sure. One of the crazier rumours I heard was of Owen coming. Owen and Rooney and v. Nistlerooy in attack, now THERE would be some firepower.

Yeh, you're right.. I reckon they all used drums cos last year the winners used drums..
To be fair, Malta was a little different, actually a song instead of just a show...I think they deserved to win.
Also, UK would never win Eurovision becuase most of Europe hates us, because of Iraq and so on.
I like to think we are 'above' eurovision
I hadn't heard about Owen. It would be fairly astonshing, seeing as the only club Man U fans hate more than Arsenal is Liverpool, and vice versa. But if it's right then essentially Man U would have the first choice England team's attackers, plus v.Nistlerooy (will he start scoring again?) Mind you, Arsenal will have Bergkamp, Reyes and Henry which isn't too bad.
Incidentally, I was at the City ground in Nottingham the other night for Des Walker's Testimonial match. It was great watching the Forest All Stars v International All Stars. Psycho played in left back, and for the Internationals were Andy Cole, Les Ferdinand, Andy Reid, Jermaine Pennant, Sean Wright-Philips....and then Ian Wright came on! Fantastic stuff. Of course Dessy Walker scored the winning goal in a 4-3 thriller. Pearce scored a couple of screamers as well. I'm surprised he doesn't sub himself on at Man City; he's still good enough!

Wow - Pearce has had some horrific problems with injury. Good to see him still kicking about.
Andy "I've retired from International football after 6 games because they won't pick me anymore" Cole - His partnership with Yorke at Utd was something special. Shame they we never able to re-kindle things.
