No, not bitten by it. Just found it and wanted some peace of mind :)

I checked some websites for our local spider population and didn't come up with anything. I'm thinking some kind of Orb spider but I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure I can rule it out as any kind of Black Widow. Pretty sure :)

I'm certainly no expert, but I'd say that it's an american house spider.

You'd think it would be easy to track spiders on the web (www that is).

It's not that easy. Most sites ask for your location. Where do you live?

Regardless, it doesn't appear to be one of the fab four (Black Widow, Brown Recluse, Agressive House Spider, or Hobo Spider).

It is rather pretty, altough I wouldn't touch it without proper knowledge: http://kaweahoaks.com/html/spiders.h...erve a spider.

EDIT: Oh... I see your from Canada. O.K. Back to the Web to look for a matching picture...

I didn't think Black Widows went that far north Howard? We have them down here and they are nasty. I had one climbing on the back of the house. The spider that freaks me out the worst is the Brown recluse. That little spider can make a mess of your skin. We have them o' plenty down here, and I am always checking clothing. They are so small it is hard to determine them apart from other small spiders.

I like spiders they eat alot of mosquitos.

The bug that freaked me out the most was the giant flying roach down in Homestead FLA, USA. A roach landing on you is weird.

Isn't that the same as a Palmeto Bug? We were infested with them in several Pine Tree's. We MOVED in a big hurry. Not one damn pine treeon my property now!

Spiders don't eat half the mosquitos as birds, like Martins. So kill all Spiders!

Also, I'll jusy get the mosquito magnet....:approve:
