- Get the bed shaker, but put the switch to turn it off on the other side of the room so you have to get up to turn it off
- Get Strobe lights attatched to your bed that will flash around (somewhat slowly to prevent sezuires) to give your brain the light/dark sensation, maybe that will work.
sounds like id be waking up in a club(with music included)

If the bed shaker works, go for it, else I'd say buy a separate light, point it at your face, and then plug it through one of those timer switches that switches on and off at a set time. You know what I'm talking about?
appliance timer. yeah i have one somewhere around the house and i have like a floor lamp where i can just position it right next to me(i sleep right on the edge of my bed, its kinda weird but will work with light perfectly).

i slept through the alarm again this morning. what is wrong with me?

Record your mum using your AX mic screaming her old wake up war cry; 'get up or I will throw this cup of cold water' and use it as the sound notification in your alarm......man my mum god rest her soul used to do that to me LOL. She did throw the water once and my body went into such shock the mere mention of a cup of water had me springing out of my kip in a panic like a gazelle being chased by cheeta. Clever people, mum's.

Ck out the farm stores ;->

G'day,
The taser might be a bit over the top but some 12V cattle fence controlled via an appliance timer might ;->.

Apart from the sensible advice others have given do a search for 'pillow alarm' clock. This might work as it can be loud but would be less of an annoyance for a room-mate as the sound is muffled by the pillow and your esteemed cranium.

Cheers
