Anyway goood to hear it mate! :)

I'm telling you.. it can be a sad world out there. I was seven months pregnant, had my 12 year old son with me, along for the trip to enjoy the ultrasound of his new baby brother at seven months gestation. For the first part of the ultrasound (in a major local hospital) Ian waited outside in the waiting room, (small room 2 other pegnant woman waiting), I said "Ian - would you like to play a game on my pocket pc while i go in?" Of couse he said yes. I told him to be carefull, etc, etc. Ten minutes later, he's called in to be with me to see the last bit of the ultrasound. He put the pocket pc down for a minute, distracted in his excitement. The first thing I ask when he entered the room was "where's my pocket pc?", he turns around and runs back to the waiting room.... STOLEN!! in less and a minute and a half!!! lesson learned! very sad, evil people can spoil it if you let them. Fortunately my insurance covered it all and my sweet Ian and I both learned a valuable lesson. I hope it all works out for you. GOOD LUCK! martimom

I'm glad everything worked out, I can't immagine how pissed I'd be if I ordered something as expensive as a PDA just to have to deal with the hassle of convincing customer service that it was stolen to get it.

Oh it was horrible. So excited about receiving the package. Slowly opening it and taking out all the pieces bit by bit and then realising that you are missing something. Not just any bit but the PDA bit, the expensive bit!

Doubly frustrating that my Ipaq died on the same day i was supposed to receive the Axim. PDA-less for 3 weeks. Not fun.

But hey, it's all good now, thank goodness.

It's horrible! And what's worse is these couriers basically get away with it since the manufacturer cannot prove otherwise.

About 8 months ago my boss's wife had purchased 2 bracelets from a magazine for $250 each and they both arrived. After closer inspection, she didn't really like the design and asked that I send it back. The company she bough it from was located in Rhode Island and we're in FL. Like most magazine companies, you can send the merchandise back with a return label and they deduct the cost of the postage from your refund. So I packed both bracelets in a box securely, put the label on it, went to the Post Office and got $150 dollar insurance on both of them. Now, why didn't I get $500 dollar insurance? Because we trusted nothing would happen to the package, but just in case we added insurance.

A few weeks later she only receives one credit for $250. So we call the company and they tell us that only 1 bracelet arrived in the box and that it was packed up by USPS packaging. We didn't use USPS packaging. Someone clearly broke into the package and stole the other bracelet. So I went back to the Post Office to put in a claim for the $150. The lady @ the USPS asked me for the Box. What Box I asked? The box that it was shipped in. I told her that the company has it and the threw it away.

To make a long story short, my boss was out of a $250 dollar credit, $250 dollar bracelet and a $150 dollar insurance paycheck for the missing item.

Maybe it was the insurance that caused them to open the package? Maybe it wasn't. The point is, someone got away with it and we had to pay for it.

Ouch! This totally bites- HARD! Why do people have to steal from honest, law-abiding folks? I feel for anyone that got ripped off. Not fair at all, but, hopefully, Dell will do right by you.

Good luck. :)

X30 pilfered from Dell Carton in transit

My new X30 high was to arrive today. I purchased it to replace the one I fried while charging it with the VersaCharger in Australia(see my post in X30 accessories.) Thought I'd go with another x30 because I already owned so many accessories and at 244.00 I couldnt pass. My wife stayed home to sign for the package. I never thought to tell her to "Make Sure it Was sealed." When I got home the first thing I noticed was that there was no packing slip. Well there was, but it had ben torn out of the plastic. Upon furhter examination I noticed the tape on the bottom was seperated and the contents were somewhat visible if you pressed down on the flap. The accessories were there, but the box that should have contained my axim had been opened and the only thing inside was the leather case. Whoever took it new exactly what they were doing. They removed the packing slip to see what goodies were inside, went to the right box inside the carton, removed the pda, closed the box and repositioned it back in the Dell carton.
I'm glad I had read these posts earlier because I knew at least that they were aware there was a problem and fortunately I got rep who gave me a case number and said a new one would be sent in 3-5 days. I'm trying to take it lightly , but it really sucks. I hope they figure out what is going on. I don't suspect my UPS driver either. I think its more likely happening on the shipping dock as so far I have seen different countries and different carriers involved.
As I go into my fith week w/o axim ,I'll keep you posted as to what develops.

Just received a phone call from Maggie at Dell, who tells me they are sending a brand new replacement for my stolen pda. I offered to hold the package I recieved yesterday as evidence or for investigation, but they were not interested. Beleive it or not she was only interested with getting me my shipment. Wow! I won't have it for the holiday, but I am happy because who knows how long something like this could drag on. Hopefully this will have a happy ending real soon. :approve:

How did you prove that you didn't just take the x50v, and then claim that it was stolen? (I'm not accusing you btw; just curious)
