It's on Saturday nights in Britian. Sci-Fi hasn't picked it up ......yet. They might be persuaded this fall after Battlestar Galactica finishes its second season.

I've never understood the fascination with Doctor Who. Honestly, I am from the United States, so I don't think they really show Dr. W over here at all. I know DVDs are available though.
I might just rent or download an episode to check it out. Something that's been going this long must be pretty damn good.
Look for the Tom Baker (as The Doctor) episodes. They were on PBS through the late 70's and early eighties. It's one of those low-budget, so bad it's good kind of things... for adults anyway. It's basically a live action Saturday morning kid's show.

Maybe things changed after the movie? We never got the episodes with the young blond doctor after that.
They even stopped playing Benny Hill and Monty Python after that. You can't get anymore Adult, Low budget, So bad, it's good, than those two. ;)
I apologize to the Whovians. :nw:

On the subject of cheap British Sci-Fi, Did Blakes 7 ever make it out of the UK to anywear else in the world?
(It was going to cross over with WHO at one point... but they changed their minds)

Yes, and that show with the catguy and the guy who played Chef on it did too but they had much better production values. PBS just teased us though.
I'm just glad we didn't try to blatantly rip them off like the Commercial network US version of Coupling. That was just embarrassing. We haven't got any new episodes of Coupling either. < sighs >
Maybe I should contribute to PBS instead of buying this PPC stuff?

I'd love to say I sold them the rights But I've borrowed it from them.
(It's very funny but not as good as the Boosh... but the Boosh doesn't really have any sig sized quotables)
