I live in CANADA and we use to watch that show after diner every night in the '80's. I think it was on PBS(the public station that is broadcast from the states...has a lot of BBC's programs on it)

Yes, and that show with the catguy and the guy who played Chef on it did too but they had much better production values.
I think you're talking about Red Dwarf although it was not with the guy from Chef. Red Dwarf was with Craig Charles and Chris Barrie -- Danny John-Jules was the Cat. Chef was with Lenny Henry.
Now Red Dwarf I love.
I love most british TV but could never get into Dr. Who.
Give me Red Dwarf, Black Adder, or Star Cops anyday.

Okay I went to the BBC Site and watched some Little Britian clips. It reminds me of a Canadian show called The Kids in the Hall. I could hadly understand the two girls in the school office. Was that intentional? Has the Queen's English changed so much that a Yank has little chance to understand?

When i watch it i cant really say that it is taking the mick out of britain because i have never met a single person like any of the ones in that show :approve:
I love Red Dwarf, as my family in the UK know. unfortunatly what they DON'T know is that over the pond we use NTSC. I have the first two series on video in PAL format gathering dust :(

Excellent, psionandy! You've been watching waaay too much Little Britain!
I wonder how many takes are required when they're filming. Matt Lucas is brilliant. Well, so is Walliams.
In Oz, it's only 9 hours to go until the first Dalek episode. Better still, in the 15 minute gap between the end of the 45 min Dr Who episode and the next hour-long slot, our ABC plays snippets from Little Britain.
Enjoy it.. It's a cracker of an episode :approve: and I reckon it's just about to start...

It was indeed brilliant! After the disappointment of Eps 4 & 5 (the double), "Dalek" was an impressive 45 minutes of science fiction television. Not at all what I expected. The utter malevolence of the creature was chilling; at least until the final scene, which was perhaps slight homage to the Patrick Troughton series "The Evil of the Daleks" when the Doctor infected them with the human factor.
