Well what's yours?

You can tell by my choice that I am not a big reader, but this guy was a terrific actor...Sesame Street Book of Opposites With Zero Mostel.

Also anything by Roddy Doyle, but especially The Snapper.

There are so many that I enjoy so I'll do a top 3.

Number 1 would have to be "The Catcher in the Rye", as it is a perfect showcase of Teen Angst and the pressure to grow up. It was badass back when it was released as well.

Number 2 would have to be The Metamorphosis by Kafka. I'm not going to delve into semantics, but it's a good read.

Number 3 would have to be Life of Pi. It's a good book about a boy lost at sea with a tiger in a lifeboat. Great book with lots of detail and unexpected plot twists.

If you haven't read those books, I suggest you do, anyone can like them.

A Brief History of Time - Stephen Hawkin
Plus anything by Stephen King before he started to suck.

My new favorite quote (attrributed to Mark Twain, although i haven't been able to confirm the attribution or the wording):

Those who do read the newspaper are missinformed."

I'm going to cheat by not picking a favourite..., But Catch22 is one I can read again and again.

I still have no idea how you can buy eggs for more than you sell them for and still make a profit

I also like the Killer-Bs trilogy that followed the Foundation series:
1. Foundation's Fear (1997) by Gregory Benford
2. Foundation and Chaos (1998) by Greg Bear
3. Foundation's Triumph (1999) by David Brin
And, Roger McBride Allen:
Caliban
1. Isaac Asimov's Caliban (1993)
2. Isaac Asimov's Inferno (1993)
3. Isaac Asimov's Utopia (1993)
